RADIOLOGY: ABDOMEN: Case# 33020: DERMOID - POST-PARTUM. The patient is a 21 year old female who is S/P spontaneous vaginal delivery on 09/12/96. The patient has subsequently had abdominal pain and fever. She is currently on triple antibiotic therapy. 1) Complex dermoid/teratoma with associated pelvic fluid and symptomatology suggests either rupture, infarct, or bleeding of the mass. 2) Poor enhancement of the kidneys without hydronephrosis suggests ATN versus pyelonephritis.
