RADIOLOGY: HEPATOBILIARY: Case# 33082: ACUTE CHOLECYSTITIS. 66 year old male with a history of gallstone pancreatitis. Who was recently discharged on 2/28/97 from an acute episode of pancreatitis. Presents with a white cell count of 27000 and increasing abdominal pain. 1. Discontinuous thickened gallbladder wall with pericholecystic fluid is noted consistent with acute cholecystitis, probably gangrenous. 2. Acute pancreatitis superimposed upon chronic pancreatitis which has improved since the prior scan of 2/28/97. 3. Cystic left upper pole renal mass worrisome for renal cell carcinoma. Size is unchanged since 2/28/97.
