RADIOLOGY: HEAD: Case# 33042: HARD PALLET ABSCESS. Fifty-five year old female with a history of breast cancer. The patient is neutropenic. 1) Soft tissue mass along the right hard palate is smooth without osseous destruction. This is more compatible with abscess which is clinically suspected than with metastatic disease. 2) Bilateral maxillary sinusitis extending into the nasal cavity. Mildpatchy involvement is seen in the other sinuses. 3) Mild prominence of optic nerves and mild brain atrophy.
