RADIOLOGY: KIDNEY: Case# 32927: LARGE NECROTIC RENAL MASS/RCC. 34-year-old black male with a large left renal mass. CT is performed to exclude metastases. Pre-intravenous contrast images (after IVP contrast) demonstrates a large subtlely heterogeneous mass which contains linear and a curvilinear calcifications in its inferomedial aspect. The mass splays the normal renal parenchyma and displaces the spleen supralaterally. After the administration of contrast, there is irregular heterogeneous enhancement with central low attenuation. The mass measures 14 x 11 cm in greatest anteroposterior and transverse dimensions. Review of bone windows demonstrates no blastic or lytic lesions.
