* <spoiler text="What are the clinical sequelae of pulmonary thromboemboli?">Most (60-80%) pulmonary thromboemboli are clinically silent. In the remainder of the cases, pulmonary thromboemboli can cause sudden death, acute or chronic cor pulmonale, infarction, or hemorrhage.</spoiler>
