Born in the tropical rainforest of Honduras, raised in the rich valleys of Colombia, and educated in the great city of Chicago, I have been fortunate enough to see many beautiful places and meet many brilliant and inspiring individuals.  What attracted me the most to the Molecular and Cellular Pathology program at UAB was the high quality collaborative environment, opportunity to be involved in translational research, and the friendly yet encouraging spirit of the graduate students and faculty members.
