My degree is in psychology, but in college I fell in love with research and decided to pursue it in graduate school.

What drives me is knowing that what I do in the lab may someday help doctors and patients in the clinic.

General Research Interests:

Free Radical Biology and Cancer; Lipids and Redox Cell Signaling

My research focuses on the role of oxidized lipids as signaling molecules in cancer. Specifically, we're interested in establishing a molecular link between obesity (high level of circulating lipids) and lipid signaling that may promote cell survival in cancer.
