Radiation Oncology Facility,
Ray of Hope Campaign

Proposed Groundbreaking 2006

The "Ray of Hope" Fundraising Campaign sponsored by the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center is underway to provide funding for a $28.5 million state-of-the-art radiation oncology facility which will be built on 18th Street South and 6th Avenue South, directly across from the newly constructed North Pavilion University Hospital.

Groundbreaking is expected early 2006.

The 50,000 square foot facility will feature state-of-the-art cancer therapies, including High Dose Radiation Brachytherapy, Electronic Portal Imaging, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy and Image Guided Radiation Therapy. The radiation oncology facility will also feature a "Park of Hope" green space for patients and families who visit the facility.

A map to the proposed radiation oncology facility is provided below or visit MapQuest for directions.
