RADIOLOGY: HEPATOBILIARY: Case# 33823: TRANSECTION OF THE MEDIAL SEGMENT OF THE LEFT HEPATIC LOBE. 35 year old male involved in motor vehicle accident. 1. Transection of the medial segment of the left hepatic lobe with a large amount of blood present in the peritoneal cavity and active extravasation of contrast from the injured segment of the liver. 2. Gallbladder is displaced inferiorly by the blood and injury cannot be completely excluded. 3. Negative CT cystogram.
