Curriculum: PGY-2
PGY-2 Curriculum
The following one month rotations (except where specified) make up the PGY-2 12-month curriculum:
- Internal Medicine - 3 months
- Family Medicine Inpatient Service
- Cardiology
- Pediatrics Wards
- Gynecology
- General Surgery
- Orthopedics
- Ophthalmology/Urology (2 weeks each)
- Geriatrics/Community Medicine
- Elective
- Longitudinal Experiences
- Family Medicine Continuity Clinic: 3 half-days per week
- Nursing Home Visits: One half-day per month
- Critical Care: Patients on ANY inpatient service who are admitted to a critical care unit are followed by the residents as longitudinal patients
The combined 4 months of Internal Medicine/Family Medicine are staggered once every 3 months through the year.
