Dr. Lourdes C. Corman, FACP, FACR

Dr. Corman came to Huntsville from Louisville, Kentucky in 1999, where she served as Vice-Chair for Education. She graduated from the Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1970 and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1973. She completed a one-year fellowship in Infectious Disease at Philadelphia in 1974 and a one-year fellowship in Immunology and Rheumatology at the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1975. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology and Geriatric Medicine. Upon joining the Huntsville Campus, Dr. Corman began a hospitalist service in the Department of Medicine, which provides inpatient care for primary care physicians in the community who choose not to admit their own patients to the hospital. As her time allows, Dr. Corman has an outpatient Rheumatology clinic where she sees patients on consultation. She enjoys teaching students and residents. Outside of her job, Dr. Corman enjoys traveling, reading, writing, needlepoint, and spending time with her friends and family.

Dr. May Jennings
Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine

Dr. Jennings is a native of Huntsville, where she attended Randolph School. She then completed her undergraduate course work at Wellesley College and worked in the neuroanatomy department at Emory University prior to entering The University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1992. While in medical school, she did her clinical training at the Huntsville Campus. Dr. Jennings did her internship at the Medical College of Georgia and completed her residency in internal medicine at The University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr. Jennings is board-certified in Internal Medicine. In addition to her teaching responsibilities on the internal medicine hospitalist service, Dr. Jennings is the clerkship director for the internal medicine rotation and she works two afternoons a week at the local HIV clinic. Outside of her job, Dr. Jennings likes to travel, water ski, play cards, read, play with her cat, and spend time with friends and family. She always knew that she wanted to be a doctor and was initially the only member of her family to have a medical career; however, her husband is now a medical student!

Dr. Norman Solliday, FCCP
Associate Professor of Internal Medicine
Dr. Solliday came to Huntsville from the Chicago area in 1999. He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago in 1967 and then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1970. Dr. Solliday completed a two year Research Fellowship in Pulmonary Disease at Boston University in 1972. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care and Geriatrics. In 2000, Dr. Solliday was certified on the Medical Review Officer Certification Council and in 2002, he recertified in Geriatrics and Critical Care. In addition to his teaching responsibilities on the internal medicine hospitalist service, Dr. Solliday is Medical Director at the Carington Health Center at Carlton Cove where he sees nursing home patients. He enjoys teaching students and residents. Outside of his job, Dr. Solliday likes to travel, read, snow ski and spend time with his family and friends.
