Dr. Behringer came to Huntsville in 1999. She graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1991 and then finished her residency in Tuscaloosa in 1994 and completed her fellowship in OB/GYN in 1995. She enjoys operative obstetrics and women's health and has a strong interest in organized medicine and healthcare policy. When she is not working, Dr. Behringer enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and son.

Marcia Chesebro, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Chesebro came to Huntsville from Tuscaloosa in 1983. She graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1979 and completed her residency at the Family Practice program in Tuscaloosa, AL. She is certified by the Society of Clinical Densitometry to interpret bone density scans involved with UAB's clinical research training program. Dr. Chesebro also received her MPH in Epidemiology in 2001. Outside of her job, she enjoys reading, spending time on the computer, walking, and spending time with her dog.

Marsha Daniell, M.D.

The University of Alabama system has been a part of Dr. Daniell's life since she became a student at the University of Alabama in Huntsville after graduating from high school. She then attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine, completing the first two years in Birmingham and the final two years in Huntsville. She was a Family Practice Resident at what was then called the University of Alabama in Huntsville School of Primary Medical Care - Huntsville Hospital Family Practice Residency. She completed her final year as Chief Resident and then joined the Family Medicine Faculty in 1989. Dr. Daniell is particularly interested in colposcopy and caring for families of all ages. She is busy with many activities with her husband and three children and enjoys walking, cooking, and sewing.

Michael M. Linder, M.D.

Dr. Linder came to Huntsville from Columbus, GA in 1990 where he had been Assistant Program Director. He graduated from the University of Tennessee Medical School in 1977 and completed his residency at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia in 1981. In his spare time, Dr. Linder enjoys the role of team physician for the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He is also an avid tennis player.

Alan Maxwell, M.D.
Associate Professor of Family Medicine
Dr. Maxwell came back to Alabama in 2003, after spending several years at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Dr. Maxwell graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Medical School in Pennsylvania and completed his residency at Washington Hospital, in Washington, Pennsylvania. He enjoys hiking, golf, and spending time with his family.

James C. Moncier, PhD
Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Family Medicine
Dr. James Moncier joined the UAB faculty in October 2000. He graduated with a PhD in Counseling and Psychology in 1991 from Indiana State University and then completed an internship at the VAMC in Danville, IL. His areas of special interest include stress and sport psychology. In his leisure time he enjoys working with computers.

Marcus Reeves, M.D.
Assistant Professor of Family Medicine
Dr. Marcus Reeves graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical School in 1999 and then completed one year of Internal Medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, before beginning his training here. He joined the UAB faculty upon completing his residency here in 2003, having served as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Reeves' medical interests include inpatient care, as well as inpatient/outpatient primary care procedures. He enjoys all outdoor sports including basketball, softball, and golf. Dr. Reeves also enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

Ralph Samlowski, M.D.

Dr. Ralph Samlowski came to Huntsville from Cincinnati, Ohio in the spring of 2002. Dr. Samlowski graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1988, and completed his residency there as well in 1991. He enjoys the variety and breadth of patient care that Family Practice offers. Dr. Samlowski also enjoys spending time with his family, fly-fishing, cooking and baking. You'll have to ask about the baklava or lobster bisque!

Allan J. Wilke, MD, MA
Associate Professor of Family Medicine
Director, Family Medicine Residency Program
Dr. Wilke came to Huntsville from the Medical College of Ohio Family Medicine Program at Toledo. After completing undergraduate school at Michigan State, he taught junior and high school math. He returned to Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine, graduating in 1980. His family residency was completed at St. Joseph's Hospital in Flint, Michigan, where he was honored with a Mead Johnson Award for Graduate Medical Education in Family Practice. After residency, he practiced in a small town in western Michigan. His academic career began in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he was Associate Director of the family practice residency program. Before going to St. Cloud, Minnesota to build the St. Cloud/ Mayo Family Practice Residency, he was Director of the Family Practice Residency at Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio. Dr. Wilke returned to Toledo in 1998 to be program director there until 2003. Dr. Wilke holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics and is a member of the Advisory Faculty of Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics. In his leisure time he enjoys biking, computing, cooking, and activities with his family.
