Annual Photo Contest: Annual Photo Contest

31st Annual GRIPE Photo Contest Deadline: 

• Deadline is December 1, 2009.  Submit to Central office.  Send by email or by mail on a compact disc.

Submission Form:

• You must fill out and send the Image Submission Form and Image Contribution Data Form with your entry.  Complete and fax to GRIPE Central Office 405-271-2328.

Photo Categories:

• Gross (specimens, patients, etc)
• Micro (sections, cytology, etc)
• Other (EM, immunofluorescence, etc)

Judging Criteria for Photos:

• Clarity of Illustration (good example, well prepared specimen).
• Photographic Excellence (good lighting, nondistracting background, etc).
• Usefulness for teaching medical students.
• Does the slide help fill gaps in the GRIPE photo collection. 

Specifications for Submission:

• All entries must be original digital images with a minimum resolution of 768 x 512 or 35 mm color transparencies.
• There is no limit to the number of entries per person.
• Please label all images with the name of the entrant, the organ, and the diagnosis and return the Image Submission Form and Image Contribution Data Form with your entries.
• All photos are submitted with the understanding that they may be used and distributed as part of the GRIPE Photo Bank.  Original transparencies will be returned.

Judging:

• Photos will be judged by our photo committee, a winner will be chosen at the Winter 2010 GRIPE Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana
