Liver Disease Assays

These assays are available from the UAB Coagulation Service to detect and monitor liver disease and the coagulopathies associated with liver disease.

Select each for further information:

Select also the factor V assay* and the factor VII assay to differentiate liver disease from vitamin K deficiency. *The name of the "factor V assay" is regrettably similar to the "factor V Leiden mutation assay." Please click on "confusing test names" for more information.

Select also the Reptilase time and the thrombin time to detect liver disease-related dysfibrinogenemia.

For recommendations and consultation, contact the UAB Coagulation Service.
