| Description |
The von Willebrand factor multimeric analysis is used to distinguish type 2 von Willebrand disease from type 1 and to distinguish between types 2A and 2B. The multimer assay is suggested in follow-up to the von Willebrand profile, consisting of the ristocetin cofactor, von Willebrand factor antigen, and factor VIII activity. |
