Collect nine (9) 2.7 mL or six (6) 4.5 mL blue-stopper tubes (3.2% sodium citrate), filled to specified volume. Do not underfill or overfill. |

| Description |
The ristocetin response curve is used to identify von Willebrand disease type 2B. This is a rare "gain of function" form of von Willebrand disease in which von Willebrand factor binds platelets excessively. The platelet count is usually reduced in von Willebrand disease type 2B. |
